Less Sleep…

July 10th, 2016

I had less than 5 hrs of sleep. Couple of times, I almost made of my mind of going back to sleep but I thought if I go back to sleep, I will feel bad the whole day. So, I decided to do some run. Coffee…caffeine played a huge role during my run. I was awake and felt really strong. I had my running gel, that boost my running a lot. I ended up doing 12.86 miles. Then went walking with my friend Mrs. Wiley for 4 and half miles walking. So total my miles was 18.29 miles! Yay!!!! I really feel that I am getting stronger running 13 miles. Next time, I have to gradually increase my mileage.

Arms and legs….

I had my upper body exercise yesterday. I did not realize how tired my arms are going to be. I started running and my arms got so tired..it was really tired. I had to stop and let them rest. I realized that how arms and legs are inter-related on running. It was a big experience for me not to do heavy duty upper body exercise the day before the long run. Anyway, I still did 6.64 miles and proud of it! 😀

So tired…

I was still tired from 4th of July event at Santa Barbara. My period also started on the same day. Now when I think about it, it might be the mixture of both that is making me tired and sluggish. I had to run this morning after 3 days of not running. I started slow but ended doing more run than I planned for. I just wanted to do 3 miles but did 5.68miles. This time, my pace was fast too. I was pushing running fast and hard. Came home, and my body was sore! I went back to sleep. It never happened before but I think I needed more rest and sleep. Today, I am taking it easy. Read, watched T.V and pretty soon I am taking Saranya to Krav Maga!!! Yay! Not driving too much feels good!!! Yay!!! 😀

Good long run….

I was just so impressed that I finally did 13.3 miles and felt really good after the run. Of course I was tired and few times did not feel like running but I knew it was just a lame excuse that my brain was making. 😀 I have been noticing that I am getting strong running uphills now. It might be protein running gels that I take during my run. I also make blueberry shake after my run. It is also call “recovery” shake. 😀

I tried Salty watermelon running gel today. I thought I might not like it but surprisingly good. I think it replace the salt that I lost from my body during long runs. I am getting smart and strong now. 😀


I forgot to put my running log on Wednesday when I did 10.68 miles. It was also 11th day of me and Saranya running.


Happy Birthday to Me!!!

I am 45 years old today! I don’t feel like 45 but here I am 45 years old lady. My mom passed away when she was my age. So young, so fast. I am so bless and lucky to be happy, healthy, good life…so and so.

Today, it was 10th day running with Saranya. She ran 2 loops and walked 1 loop. Not bad!


Very busy day…

I am glad I did 7.68 miles in the morning. I had very busy day. Bought air tickets for Seattle, found out about hotels to stay in Las Vegas, places to visit at Phoenix. It was busy but fruitful days. 😀

Not much going on today. I scratch few “things to do” list which I am happy about. There are few things to do tomorrow. I am planning to run tomorrow.

Today was Saranya’s 9th day running with me. She almost did non stop running for a mile. I think it is a progress on her part and I am so happy about it.


Crappy start but finished strong. :D

I planned this Sunday’s run since couple of days ago. I even told my husband to get me something sweet for my long run since I was almost out of my running gel. So, my morning start was struggle. I thought I might not able to do 12-13 miles! I feel like just go for 3-5 miles but thought if I do that then I will be quitter. I have been emphasizing this run to my husband so I kept going. It took me almost 4-5 miles get into the run. Still, today’s run was not like my previous ones which surprised me having a good strong feeling at the end. I drank lots of water and had few chocolate covered almond. At the end of the run, I start not liking the taste of chocolate covered almond. Lets see how long it will last. I tried to make 13 miles but ended up doing just 12.64 miles. I need to do little longer next time. Overall, I am proud that I did it!!!

Strong run today………….

I had a good strong today. I did not want to run but I though I might just do 3 miles. When I started, it was ok but got better and better when I ran. So I end running 7.41 miles. I would be happy if I made it 8 miles. I have to find my 8 miles marker.

Ran with Saranya 1mile. I can see a difference on her run. She also getting stronger and better. She ran 1 loop with out stopping now. Good for her. I am very proud of her. It was our 8th day running together! 😀
